Kick-Off

The Kick-Off is the first joint on-site event of the IMIM programme, held alternately at the University of Tartu or Uppsala University (scheduled for August in 2025). It introduces IMIM students to the programme, faculty, mobility opportunities, and available resources. This event also kick-starts the creation of interdisciplinary Learning Groups (LGs) focused on BBB1 - 4, key components of the IMIM curriculum.

Over the course of three days, students participate in networking, team-building, and social activities, helping to build a strong community among first-year students from diverse backgrounds.

Several keynote speakers from partner universities present on topics related to biomedical innovation and industry. Additionally, all IMIM staff meet in person to discuss student progress, well-being, programme updates, improvement initiatives, best practices, and challenges.
