Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Programme

In 2015, the International Master in Innovative Medicine (IMIM) received funding from the European Commission under the Erasmus+ Programme as an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Programme and the first cohort of students began in September 2016. In July 2019, IMIM was funded for an additional four cohorts.

In 2024, the programme secured another Erasmus Mundus Grant, allowing for new applications in the fall of 2024, for starting in September 2025 onwards. With a grant of 4.6 million euros, 80 scholarships are funded, and annual joint events are organized, such as the Kick-Off and Spring School (year 1), and the Summer School and VentureLab weekend (year 2) as part of the translational IMIM-specific learning line.

The Erasmus Mundus Programme, aims to promote excellence and internationalisation in higher education through jointly delivered and recognised Master’s programmes by European higher education institutions (HEIs) and partners worldwide.  EMJMs contribute to the integration of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) and are characterized by a high degree of jointness/integration among participating institutions and the excellence of their academic offerings.
