The Universidade de São Paulo (USP) is the oldest university in Brazil and one of the most prestigious higher education and research institutions in Latin America. Its first school, the Law School, was established in 1827, and the university itself was founded in 1934 through the unification of several pre-existing schools. Located in the state of São Paulo, Brazil, USP has rapidly taken on a leading role in various fields as a research center. At the same time, its undergraduate and graduate courses have continuously improved in quality, attracting the best students.
With campuses across eight cities (Bauru, Lorena, Piracicaba, Pirassununga, Ribeirão Preto, São Carlos, Santos, and São Paulo), USP has more than 97,185 undergraduate and postgraduate students and 5,182 faculty members.
