I firmly believe that there is no other curriculum that integrates scientific, clinical and commercial teaching about biomedicine as well as the IMIM program.

“I always had a great curiosity to learn how to make my research as a source of good evidence for new treatments and diagnoses in the clinic. That is why I decided that I wanted to pursue my scientific career in translational medicine and in interdisciplinary biomedical research.

In the IMIM program I have been able to develop myself into a better translational researcher. Both professors and assignments invited us to leave the classical paradigms of scientific research so we were able to learn new strategies to develop projects that could have a great scientific and clinical relevance.

Thanks to the strong component of scientific cooperation and student mobility that this study program has, I have managed to establish strong links with people of different fields and countries.

This constant mobility has enriched and facilitated even more the interdisciplinary cooperation when I conducted my research internships. During the courses and subjects I have not only learned about science and medicine, but also about how to translate the results of my experiments into products of both commercial and clinical importance.

I firmly believe that there is no other curriculum that integrates scientific, clinical and commercial teaching about biomedicine as well as the IMIM program. I am sure that the knowledge and contacts I have made during my studies will have a very positive impact on my future as a translational scientist.”
