Such easy access to industry leaders and academic mentors was unthinkable to me before joining the programme.
βThe IMIM programme is the place to be if patient-driven science is what you've dreamt of doing. For me, the standout feature of IMIM has been the numerous internship opportunities. It allows you to explore the field of translational medicine or helps you deepen your pre-existing interest through access to world-class labs in industry and academia across the globe. Coming from a developing country, the programme has allowed me to create my own trajectory in translational neuroscience with relative ease, which would have been difficult in my home country.
Ultimately IMIM is what you make of it but with enough structure through its spring and summer schools to put the current snapshot of biomedical research into perspective. Such easy access to industry leaders and academic mentors was unthinkable to me before joining the programme.
In addition, having supportive, inspiring classmates with diverse educational and cultural backgrounds makes for a great master's experience. I feel blessed to have had this opportunity.
