“International Master in Innovative Medicine is a unique programme that allows you to conduct research at three prestigious European Universities and provides you trainings on personal development and soft skills highly demanded in today’s scientific world. I chose University of Groningen for my first year. Here I am pursuing my project at the Department of Biomedical Engineering. I quickly got used to the Dutch life style and education system here, nevertheless I am very curious about the next year in Sweden.
I am a huge fan of the mobility path that IMIM offers to students. It allows you to work on various projects not only in academia, internships in the industry are also possible.
Furthermore, international environment helps you improve your networking skills and can contribute to brighten up your future career. From the very beginning you are exposed to multicultural group which consists of ambitious young people. I had a pleasure to meet fellow students at the Kick Off meeting in Uppsala and for the second time during Spring School in Mannheim. Spring School was focusing on workshops on team-building and conflict management, as well as it provided us with tips on giving persuasive presentations. Moreover, Industry and Innovation Days prepared during the Spring School weekend gave me a chance to meet scientists working outside academia. I became aware of career perspectives and gained more in-depth knowledge on working in bioindustries. Also, there all IMIM students could share experiences from the past semester at universities of their first choice and exchange hints for the upcoming year in a new country.
